FAQs

  • Who do you work with?

I provide individual therapy via telehealth (secure online video sessions) to adults (18+) in California. I work with individuals who are seeking support for issues related to anxiety, stress, confidence, and personal growth.

  • How do I schedule my first appointment?

Please reach out by submitting this web form. If it seems like my practice could be a good fit for your needs, we’ll schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to briefly discuss what you’re looking for and how I can help. If it seems like a good match, we’ll set up a time for our first session. I’ll then provide you with access to a secure, online client portal where you can review and complete the pre-session paperwork before our first session.

  • How much do sessions cost? Do you accept insurance? How do I pay for sessions?

My rate is $250 per 50-minute session, which is due at the time of service, and can be paid online via credit or debit card.

I am not in-network with any insurance plans.

However, if you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a monthly “superbill” (basically a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement of a portion of the session fees. Benefits vary and I cannot guarantee reimbursement, so please contact your insurance provider directly for more details.

  • How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy varies widely and depends on many factors. Some people come with a very specific or situational concern that can be resolved in just a few sessions, others are seeking deeper self-awareness and benefit from ongoing therapy over a longer period, and many people find themselves somewhere in between.

We’ll decide together on an initial timeframe that makes sense for your unique situation, and we’ll continue to monitor and assess your progress as we go.

  • What do I do if I'm in crisis or experiencing an emergency?

Please note that I do not provide crisis or emergency services and my messages are not monitored 24/7. In an emergency, crisis, or urgent situation, please reach out to the following resources immediately:

For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

For urgent support, you can contact the 988 Lifeline by calling or texting 988 or starting an online chat at https://988lifeline.org/.

  • Where did you do your graduate training?

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo in New York, and completed both my doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of New Hampshire.
